§ Do you have any baby photos?
§ Where were you born?
§ Who was present at your birth?
§ What day was it? Time?
§ Did you have hair? Eye colours§ Are you a twin?
I came into the family on a Friday in November, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hospital. It was a fairly balmy day with a high of 55 degrees and low of 30. Normal for this day was 49 and 33. At the time of my birth it was still 48 degrees outside.
I have no idea how heavy I was or how long because it wasn't included on my birth certificate nor on the hospital certificate. I'm pretty sure my mom was present at my birth. ;-) I'm guessing there was a doctor and a nurse or two as well, since it was at the hospital and all...
From the looks of the pictures, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I didn't really have much hair--I look rather like a cue ball don't you think? And the eyes look like brown--at least dark. Nope, I didn't get the dove grey eyes, nor the blue eyes that turn up every so often in the family.
I was born into a household comprised of Dad, Mom and two big brothers. My grandmother, stayed with my brothers at home during my birth.
I was born just after my dad turned 35 and just 6 days before my mom turned 32.
My brothers were 8 and 6 years old. Yep. I was the youngest--and the only girl!
I was names Yvonne after Yvonne De Carlo who my mom thought was a beautiful actress.
I remember her years later as Lily Munster. :-)
My family was living on a farm that mom and dad purchased just before they married in 1950. The farm had a couple of interesting features. One was a pond in the front yard and the other was a multi-story barn.
