Thursday's Things In A Row (On Friday)...In The Greenhouse...

Good drizzly, rainy, cool, 55 degree Friday the 13th everyone!

I didn't get my things in a row pictures put together yesterday, so I was joining Pat at A View From The Edge for Thursday's Things In A Row today only to find out that she is having a MAJOR change in her life and is busy this week.  Wow!  You should really go and read about her life change!  She and her Jim sound so much like me and my Jim, but we don't wait 7 years to itch...more like 2-3 years!  LOL

Since I have my things in a row pictures, I am gonna put them up anyway...just for Pat.  Especially since they are time sensitive...

We are in Tom and Nina's greenhouse today.  You remember my brother Tom and his wife, Nina, right?  They have the house that I featured in the Victorian House Christmas Tour here...

Let's wander around the gardens to see what is outside first...

A row of labbies are here to greet us--Hi Mimi (chocolate) and Bailey (black)!

Here is the row of flowers that we viewed earlier that had narcissus.  Now we have Iris getting ready to bloom.  The white ones are starting already--do you see them?

Look across the fish pond and you can see that my dad's tulips under his purple martin house are still blooming in a row...

This row of flowers are by the barn--Clematis?

Sneaking into the Secret Garden we see the little Japanese Maple tree.  They bought it for about $12 on clearance at Wal-Mart one year and it is doing better than the really expensive ones that they bought!  Go figure!  It is really happy.  I come here to visit my guys...

Come closer and look through the leaves...

Closer...

There they are!  3 of my favorite dogs...Ready (lab/border collie mix), Charms (german shepherd/beagle or basset hound mix--yep strange but great dog!) and Bo (black lab--from Tom and Nina's labs)...all wonderful companions.  Perhaps they are the reason the tree is so happy--to have such loved companions...

So, here is the Greenhouse--see the rows of windows on the doors????

This is Tom and Nina's second Greenhouse.  Here is the first one that Tom built (he's good like that)...
Wasn't it cute with it's row of arched windows?  It had an unfortunate end when it along with the garage burned.  See their camper over to the right?  It really did a lot of damage to their 40 ft camper as well, but that probably saved the big barn and Tom's Semi...We'll see more of the history of that area later in the year...

Let's Go Inside the new greenhouse...

Rows of larger plants brought in for the winter greet us at the door...

Rows of plants from last year on the shelves along the outside wall...

See the bucket here?  Those are water plants that will go back into the fish pond.  The fish will be so happy!!!!

Little plants in recycled pots waiting to be put in their new outdoor home after the threat of frost is past...

In the corner of this shelf is a homemade planter full of succulents, see?  (Nina makes these planters and some other cute bird feeders--she's clever like that!)

I wonder if they will end up in the secret garden this year?  Time will tell...Nina definitely has a plan...

Hanging pots just waiting for the last frost...

Do you see the wheel barrow to the right?  Let's take a closer look...

It's a fairy garden in another homemade container!

Let's see if we can spy more...There is our little fairy by the flowers and little fairy gazebo...

She has a little swing that looks like a leaf over in the corner to play.

See her with her pretties????

I wonder where she will end up...

Did I mention that the little dogwood is blooming?  Pretty!  :)

Just outside of the greenhouse is this plant.  I am thinking Asparagus?  Come on your gardeners--help me out here...(I was sneaking around the garden without Tom or Nina--actually they were working)...

Hope you enjoyed the tour of rows of things in the garden and greenhouse...

And all of you blogger friends out there who live in the OK, KS and MO areas, be careful tomorrow!  I saw that there is a WHITE bullseye over you with tornadic weather--strong and long lasting tornadoes predicted!  Keep your weather eyes open and be safe!

  1. What a cute little greenhouse! I love all the rows! I read all about Pat's changes! Wow! I've missed "rows" the past few weeks due to being very busy with work. Looking forward to getting back to it soon.

  2. Thank you SO much for caring on Thursday's Things in a Row, even though I didn't this week! I really enjoyed your photos in and around the green house. Those purple flowers indeed look like clematis. I hope to have this week's TIAR up and running since we now have internet! Da-da-da-da!

    1. It is beautiful! Tom and Nina (my brother and his wife) work on it a lot! It is the way that Nina relaxes on her days off. :)
